Anthony Rovito

I was very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Dr. Anthony, John Baron. May He Rest In Peace! I first met Dr. Barone in 1960 when he taught at St Anthony Elementary and I attended there as a newly arrived immigrant (starting in grade one). Ten years later, now a Field Superintendent, he recognized and acknowledged me within a large crowd of graduating teachers from Toronto Teachers’ College. After beginning my teaching career with the Board, our paths crossed many more times. During those encounters, whether formal or otherwise, his advice was very much appreciated. Thank you Tony for always being there and encouraging and supporting us-me and my colleagues to be the best teachers, consultants and administrators that we could be! Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Barone family during this time of great loss.
