Dear Shirley, I came into your life when your dementia was already quite advanced, but I will always remember the joy on your face when you saw family and friends. I will remember the pride you took in your art work and how much you enjoyed hot chocolate and chocolate sundaes. You took pleasure in watching the birds and arranging your stuffed animals. Most of all I enjoyed your sense of humour and your cheeky replies. I am honoured to have been a part of your life and will miss you. Rest in peace, Karen
