SHEIKH, May –
Unexpectedly on March 28th 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 86th year. Born in the foot hills of the Himalayas in India, May studied religion at the Loretta Convent and was a student of Mother Theresa. She had a strong passion for music, particularly piano. She loved to travel the world, enjoying exotic places including the Polynesian Islands, New Zealand, Africa and the Scottish Highlands. She was fiercely proud of her strong Scottish Heritage but was an Indian at heart. Former Administrative Secretary for the Premier’s Cabinet Office. Beloved wife of Kalim (Jedi) Sheikh. Loving mother of Jawaid (Joe) and his wife Leslie. She was predeceased by her children Karin, Conrad and Melvin. Cherished grandmother to Andrew, Sean, Malcolm, Karin, Cameron, Bryanna, Olivia and Kalen. Proud great-grandmother to Izabella and Orlando. Mrs. Sheikh will be resting at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Thursday, March 30th 2017 from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby on Friday, March 31st 2017 at 10:00am. Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
