Condolence: Like A Comet
Blazing Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon
Like A Rainbow
Fading In A Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon
Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon
Like A Castle Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon
Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon
Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
GONE TOO SOON

Condolence: For the past few days I've tried to find the words that truly express what I want to say about you and to you. About you: After having grown up with you, I know you were always a caring , understanding and loving person. I also know you had a very playful and mischevious side as well. When I think back, numerous memories come to mind. But there are four occasions that seem to pop out! First, it was a Christmas day. You were about 6, I was about 7. Your family had come to visit and you had brought all the great toys you got. There was one particular gift you received. A car race track set. I thought it was boring but after you showed me how to put it together and make it work, I got to like it. It was definitely the one you were most proud of only because you got it from your mom and dad. I remember the fun we had racing those cars all day long! Secondly, we were a little older. You were about 13, I was about 14. It was around the time every radio station in the city was giving away Michael Jackson concert tickets. My mom and I were visiting on a Sunday at your house on Linkdale rd in Brampton. I remember how we tried and tried all day long to get those tickets. When we realized this was going to be harder than it looked, I became discouraged. Just to pick my spirits up, I remember you pointed out each one of your neighbors to me and began to imitate them and make fun of them! I laughed so much, I got an asthma attack!!! Thirdly, we were a couple of years older. You were about 15 and I was about 16. I was taking a photography class in high school and needed a model. Sure enough you fit the part! It was a warm and sunny day and you were very excited to get dressed up and get photographed. I remember you were giving me all kinds of poses and looks, especially when the girls from the area stopped to watch and flirt with you. You definitely spiced it up as though you were a true professional model! The two final shots I used for my class was the one of you sitting on a ledge in a white Miami Vice jacket, canvas shoes, no socks and a skinny blue tie. The next was of your face and that great long hair you were so proud of. Both of which were reasons why I got an A for that assignment! Thanks! And finally, this is the famous story of you and Nanny. You were about 4, I was about 5. Nanny wore some pretty thick eyeglasses, just like a glass coke bottle! Whenever our beloved Nanny had to babysit us, you took it as an opporotunity to have a little fun! Whenever you thought she wasn't watching you, you'd get right up in her face and make funny faces. You did this to annoy her enough where she got up and chased you around the bedroom until you decided to crawl under the bed. We both knew she could'nt get under there after you. So what did she do? She grabbed a broomstick and began to poke at you. Even under the bed we could hear you laughing! She became even more upset when you finally crawled out from under the bed ,ran out of the bedroom and was laughing and having a good time at her expense! I am thankful Rickie I was able to share those times with you. From the time I saw you in the hospital about 6 weeks ago, I prayed to God to help you and make you well. I also asked Him to put me in your place instead just so you would'nt feel no pain or discomfort anymore. As time went on, I prayed for your full recovery. I believed and pictured you walking out of that hospital and walking into a healthy and happy life. But God has a better plan for you. As I spoke to you in icu, I told you that you are strong, to keep fighting and don't gve up! None of us were ever giving up on you! I am comforted to know that you were welcomed into Heaven by aunties Camal, Dolly and Shanti. By uncles George, Jerry and Patrick. By cousins Robin and Karin. By your brother David and lastly, our beloved grandmother, Nanny. Now that you are in Heaven with the Lord, He has wrapped you in His arms and all you have to do now is...be happy! Everyone misses you, especially your mom and Sabrina. Now to you: I am very sorry that we did'nt keep in close contact as we once did. I know I could've done more for you. As I sat here writing this message, Michael Jacksons song "Gone Too Soon" plays and replays in my mind. You truly are gone too soon Rickie! We will see eachother again soon. I love you! Love and happiness surround you! Love always, your cousin, Donna.
