JOHNSON, Gail -
Unexpectedly at home on October 19th 2018 at the age of 55. Gail was a well-respected claims supervisor who obtained her Fellow Charter Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation. A loving mother, wife and friend, Gail was a remarkable cook and hostess, and cherished every moment with her beloved dogs. She was also an active fundraiser for cancer research for the past few years (Rexall 25km OneWalk). Gail was a talented photographer and folk artist who put love into every stroke of her brush. She will be missed by those whose lives she has touched. Gail will be fondly remembered by her husband Grant, her son Alexander and her brother Bill (Diane). She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents William (Bill) and Glenna McKeown and her brother Don (Bev). She will be resting at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Thursday, October 25th 2018 from 3 – 4pm and 6 – 8:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby, on Friday, October 26th 2018 at 1:00pm. Interment at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa. Memorial donations may be made to onewalk.ca for 2018 – participant Gail Johnson and condolences may be expressed online at www.wctownfuneralchapel.com.
