Beverly Anne Rigby (Rigby)
RIGBY, Beverly -
Beverly Anne Rigby was born at home in New Waterford, Cape Breton,
Nova Scotia, January 2, 1940 and passed away peacefully with her loving
family by her side on August 3, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Beverly
was an incredible mother to son Vincent and wife Kerry McGovern and
daughter Anne and husband Kevin Thornton. She loved her grandchildren
with all her heart, Alexander, Michael, William, Emily and Tyler. She is
survived by her brother Bernie and wife Carol Rigby. Beverly always kept
in close contact and loved her many extended family and friends. Beverly
was incredibly independent, strong willed, kind and had an awesome
passion for life. She was known for her love of music, dancing, her church,
and her Cape Breton heritage. May God Bless you and protect you. Loving
you always, thinking of you often, you will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas
Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 7
– 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. John the Evangelist,
903 Giffard Street, Whitby, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 9:30am.
Interment to follow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations in memory of Beverly made to St. John the Evangelist
Church or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated
