The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Helen Margaret Craig can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

We hope that you been able to find comfort in the time that you were able to spend with her and family during these difficult months, and in the knowledge that she died with dignity. Condolence: Just a note to offer my sincere condolences to Jim and the Craig and Reid families. We have not been in touch for a number of years as I have lived in Ottawa since 1960. I do have a happy memory of Helen from I think the summer of 1957 or 58. A group of Glebeites (sp?) (Jim and Helen, Bev and David Coon, Geoff White and another couple whose names escape me )invited Alan Clarke and me to share in a memorable weekend canoe trip in Algonquin Park. Helen was distinctly pregnant but still quite up for the adventure. Her perk was that she was relieved of paddling duties. May all your wonderful memories sustain you as you mourn her passing.

Condolence: I feel very privileged to have known Helen at the Garden club.
She shared her special knowledge so generously encouraging us and spurring us on.
I remember how thrilled she was when I brought her some lilacs out of our garden after she moved from her home and didn’t have her own in a garden.
She was a presence that will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to all her family at this time.
I am writing this from Glasgow Scotland.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to support you all at the Granite on Monday
Blessings to you all and a big thanks you for sharing her with me.

Condolence: My heart is with the all the family.
Helen had a wonderful life and raised a wonderful family with Jim.
Her leadership, participation and grace was always a delight.
She will be so missed. Her legacy will live on forever among her family..
I am so sorry that I cannot attend the memorial in her honour - I cannot get a flight to arrive in time.
Helen will always be remembered and will always be in the hearts of many.
