CHOMYN, George (Yurko) -
Passed away suddenly, at home, of a stroke, on Saturday, May 19, 2018. George was a longtime employee of the Federal and Provincial Governments. Dearly beloved son of the late Sophia and Stefan Chomyn. Beloved brother of the late Walter Chomyn and his late wife Elizabeth Chomyn. Loving and devoted uncle of Andrea (Michael Holmes), Matthew (Duri Song) and Martha. Fondly remembered by his aunt Slawka and cousins John, Margaret, Mary and families. Always cherished and remembered by his family in Poland, Ukraine, Quebec and the United States. Loving godfather of Michael, Andrea, Markian, Kaitlyn, Emily and Kamila. Remembered by numerous friends and colleagues. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (North Rexdale Boulevard), on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. with Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 La Rose Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at newediukfuneralhome.com
