EDWINS, Colleen (Fedynchuk, nee Yuzwin) -
(June 3, 1939 - March 17, 2018)
Passed peacefully at St Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph at the age of 78. Reunited with her husband Steve and their little angel Steven in Heaven. Loving mother of sons Ted, Tim (Marie-Helene), and Peter (Moira). Greatly loved and sadly missed by grandchildren Richard (Candace), Blythe, Catherine, two great grandchildren. Mourned by her beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Yuzwin and Anne Lockwood. Pre-deceased by: her parents Nicholas and Nellie; siblings Thomas, Elsie, Bob, and Annette; nephews Bob Yuzwin and Greg Lockwood; and in-laws Peter and Katherine Fedynchuk, Alvin Chuchmach Sr., and Joseph Lockwood. Colleen was happiest when surrounded by family no matter the occasion. Her legendary work ethic and insistence on always doing things the right way won her the admiration of her co-workers. She carried herself with dignity and class. In retirement, she was known for tending the roses and lilacs in her garden and her marathon weeding sessions. Visitation Monday, March 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard). Panakhyda Monday, March 19, 2018 at 7 p.m. Divine Liturgy Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m at St Josaphat's Cathedral, 143 Franklin Avenue, Toronto. Internment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane Street, Vaughan. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
