RICCO, Luigi Michael (Lou) -
Peacefully passed away into God’s Hands on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Reuniting with the love of his life his wife the late Mary Ricco (nee McCaugherty). Loving father of his daughter Mary Louise (nee Ricco) and her husband Brian Oliver, and his son Marc Angelo Ricco. Cherished and forever loved by his grandchildren Andrew Oliver and his wife Angela, Jonathan Oliver and his wife Mallory, and Elyse (nee Oliver) and her husband William Moodie. Devoted and blessed GG Poppa to his great-grandchildren Rhylie, Rhyder Michael, Addison, Hannah Mary, Benjamin and Knox. GG Poppa will be looking down and smiling when his 7th great-grandchild is born in August. Lou will be held in the hearts of his siblings, many nieces, nephews extended family and friends
Lou enjoyed a long retirement after over 30 years at Canada Post. The St. Benedict Parish family was very dear to Lou. Within the Parish Community he served within the Knights of Columbus, he dedicated several years to running the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry. Lou was an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister. It was Lou’s pleasure to serve the St. Benedict Parish in whatever capacity he could. Lou also devoted several years to helping the homeless, through the Out of the Cold Program. Lou’s devotion to his family and faith was exemplary.
Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (north of Rexdale Blvd), on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Benedict Parish, 2194 Kipling Avenue, on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 9am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Society of St. Vincent de Paul-St. Benedict Parish would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com
