Obituary for Maria Louisa Pietracci (Cupidio)

Maria Louisa Pietracci (Cupidio)
PIETRACCI, Maria Louisa -
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born February 22, 1934 in Porto San Giorgio, Le Marche, Italy. (Maria) Louisa was the eldest daughter of Stella and Enrico Cupidio and sister of Giovanna Zucca (Nino), Don Giorgio and deceased Luigi (Maria Helena). She was the dear wife and widow of the late Renato (his Lou) and loving mother to Anna Maria (Michael Fenuta), Marina and George. She was the very proud grandmother of Alyssa and Robert Fenuta. Louisa came to Canada at 23 to marry her one true love Renato. They met on a tour in Switzerland. Two years later, she crossed the ocean alone, mistaken for a model when she arrived in New York City 60 years ago. She began her new life in Toronto and raised her family in her beloved Etobicoke home. She was a devout Catholic, an incredible cook, a flawless seamstress, an avid gardener and lover of travel and opera. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Woodbridge Vista for their attentiveness and care. Family, friends and neighbours are invited to the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1570 Royal York Road. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to make donations in her memory to the Humber River Hospital Foundation. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com
