JOY, Helen (McPherson) -
Passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 96. She was loved by all who knew her. Predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters, first husband Jack McPherson, second husband, her beloved Charlie Joy, her son Mark and grandson Johnny. She will be sorely missed by her sons Jack (Donna), Paul (Janet), Greg (Jo-Anne) and Steven (Diana), her 10 grandchildren: Robin, Tammy, Lenna, David, Christopher, Joseph, Michael, Scott, Robert and Richard, her 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A special thanks to Diana, Steve, Donna Jean Cole and Jean Snider who made it possible for Helen to stay in her apartment. Family and friends will be received at the W.C.TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 10am - 11am followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00am.
