Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Kipling Acres Long Term Care Facility. Survived by his loving wife Verna, his son Paul (Olivia), and his daughter Sumiko (Steve). Grandfather to Kira, Aeva, and Aurora. Akio leaves his two sisters Eiko, and Mary. Family and friends will be received at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
