Obituary for Mary Leah Ruth Gouldburn (Town)

GOULDBURN, Mary -
Town family matriarch, Proud Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and adored Aunt, Mary passed away at the age of 86 with family by her side on Thursday April 17, 2014. A life long resident of Whitby and member of All Saints’ Anglican Church, she was the daughter of Clarence and Georgina Town. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Debbie Couke and by her siblings Audrey Pring, Jack Town, Harry Town, Anna Neal, George Town, and Isabelle Elliott. Mary is lovingly remembered by her children Steve, Greg (Debbie), and Janice Teichroeb (Barry), by her twelve grandchildren Matthew (Lauri), Andrew, Lauren (Mark) , James, Michael (Jen), Melissa (Joel), Katie (John), Jeff (April), Dave, Amy, Leah and Aidan and her 12 Great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her dear friend Frank Herring, her many nieces and nephews, her sisters-in-law Mary and Irene, and her card playing friends at the Whitby Seniors Centre. Visitation will be held at The W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, (905) 668-3410 on Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A memorial service will be held Thursday April 24, 2014 At All Saints’ Anglican Church, 300 Dundas Street West, Whitby, at 11:00 A.M. A private family interment will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the All Saints’ Memorial Fund, or The Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.
