The death of
someone we love changes our lives and our families forever. As a family owned
funeral home, we know this is a difficult time and want to assure you of our
support through our “Living With Loss” Program.
As part of our
services, we are pleased to offer the following:
- Follow-Up Our Bereavement Coordinator will contact each family following
the funeral/memorial service to offer support and assistance. If you would
like to speak to the bereavement coordinator at any other time, call the
funeral home at (416) 745-7555
or send a request by e-mail.
- Bereavement Support Groups Being with others who have gone through
a similar experience can be very comforting. While support groups are not for
everyone, many bereaved persons find that they still need to talk and work
through their loss, long after family and friends are prepared to listen.
Sessions are offered in the spring and fall and advanced registration is
required. As a Newediuk Funeral Home family, you will be notified of upcoming
groups. For more information on the next available bereavement group

- Resource Library The funeral home maintains a limited selection of current
books and videos for all ages and we can provide you with a list of other
resources.
- Annual Celebration of Life We recognize the
importance of remembering and celebrating the lives of loved ones who have
died. This uplifting service is usually held in late
November and provides an opportunity, in a simple but
meaningful way, to honour the memory of your loved one.
- Professional Assistance If you have questions, our Bereavement
Coordinator would be happy to talk with you about your bereavement experience
and we can suggest other resources in the community.
