EIGHT-WEEK BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

Whether the death was sudden or anticipated, we can never be fully prepared for the death of a loved one. In addition to support, our groups enable people to develop coping skills and understand the complex feelings and emotions known as grief.

Sessions are offered in the spring and fall and advanced registration is required. As a Newediuk Funeral Home family, you will be notified of upcoming groups. For more information on the next available bereavement group contact the funeral home at (416)745-7555 or send a request by e-mail.

• To obtain factual information on grief and loss from a qualified professional

• To work through the complex feelings and emotions known as grief

• To understand the dynamics of grief and develop coping skills

• To meet others who have experienced a loss through death

• To share in the dynamic support a group has to offer

• The session is structured but you choose your degree of participation

 Who will be present at these sessions?

• Other adults who have been bereaved at least 2 to 3 months

• Participants who can make a commitment to attending most sessions

• Skilled co-leaders who provide a supportive environment
